After a year and half working as a food scientist in the consumer food industry, I made the decision to enroll in culinary school for my chef's certification. Now we get to see if you can teach a chemist to be artistic. All my experience with food deals with black and white. Action and reaction. Now I'm learning to work with allll the shades of gray.
Aside from my recent foray into the culinary arts, a little about myself. My husband and I recently moved to Texas from central rural-ish (aka NOT Chicago) Illinois. We don't have kids, but we do have two cats and a chocolate lab. When I'm not cooking or otherwise experimenting with food, I'm usually working on sprucing up our house with my husband. Life is good.
